Blattgröße: 46 x 36 cm.
Verglast und gerahmt.
Der Künstler widmete sich hauptsächlich der Wiedergabe von Motiven nach Vorbildern der in Pompeji und Herkulaneum entdeckten Wandmalereien sowie auch von Groteskenbildern des Raffael und dessen Schüler Giulio Romano. Seine Werke waren beliebte Grand Tour-Objekte.
Die Figuren in zarter Farbgebung, jeweils vor schwarzem Hintergrund in den für die pompejanische Wandmalerei typischen, polychromen Rahmungen. Im Unterteil der Darstellung jeweils längsrechteckiges Feld mit Groteskendarstellungen wie Vase zwischen Panther und auffliegenden Tauben bzw. Panther, Hirsche und Jagdhund. Am Sockel der gemalten Standfigur mit Lyra eine griechische Aufschrift. (1012422) (11)
