Das Tondo zeigt in der rechten Bildhälfte die nackte, nur spärlich von einer Draperie verhüllte, blonde Andromeda, die an einem Arm und einem Bein an den hinter ihr hoch aufragenden Felsen gefesselt ist. Ihr zu Füßen liegt ein Schädel, der auf ihr Schicksal hindeutet, das ihr bevorsteht, wenn das von links nahende geflügelte Ungeheuer ihrer habhaft wird. Doch von links oben nähert sich Perseus auf Pegasus reitend, um sie vor ihrem Schicksal zu bewahren. (1010692) (12)
