Leonhard Trippel,
1745 – 1783

Möglicherweise handelt es sich hier um eine idealisierte Rheinlandschaft im Spätlicht, das hinter der Baumkrone durchbricht. Das Gemälde ganz in Stilverwandschaft zu Werken des Lehrers des Malers, Christian Georg Schütz d. Ä. Werke von Leonhard Trippel kamen in Besitz des Kunstvereins Schaffhausen sowie nachgewiesen in Stuttgarter und Aarauer Privatbesitz.

The painting has stylistic link with paintings of the artist’s teacher Christian Georg Schütz the Elder. Works by Leonhard Trippel came into the possession of the Schaffhausen Art Society and are also confirmed in private collections in Stuttgart and Aarau.
