Auf vier Elefantenkopffüßen in vergoldeter Bronze das rechteckige Tableau mit Blütendekor und zentralem Bildfeld in japanischer Art in Cloisonné-Email. Dieses Bildfeld im Stil der Meji-Periode dekoriert mit einer Uferlandschaft mit Glyzinien, Wachteln und Wasserlilien sowie Crysanthemen und Fischen. Das Bildfeld kann Sévin zugeschrieben werden, der nach einem Aufenthalt in London bereits 1855 auf der Weltausstellung ausstellte und oft mit Barbedienne zusammenarbeitete.

This Meiji-style panel is decorated with a riverside landscape with wisteria, quail and waterlilies, chrysanthemums, and fish. The picture field can be attributed to Sévin, who – after a stay in London – exhibited at the World Exhibition in 1855 and often worked with Barbedienne.
