Nach dem großen Vorbild Bertel Thorvaldsen entstand diese dekorative Parkfigur, die sich an eine seiner Marmor-Heben anlehnt. Das Originalmodell aus Marmor war einst in der kalifornischen Sammlung William Randolph Hearst und konnte 1936 vom Thorvaldsen-Museum erworben werden. Der Däne ging 1787 nach Rom, wurde er von Canovas Hebe inspiriert, die 1796 und 1799 entstand, sodass auch er das Thema aufgriff und 1806 seine eigene Version schuf. In diesem Fall steht die Figur auf einem zylindrischen Sockel mit Feston- und Puttofries. Witterungsspuren. (1350545) (13)
