Vorderer und rückseitiger Einbanddeckel sowie der Rücken in feinster Silberschmiedetechnik gearbeitet. In schmalen Profilrahmungen entwickelt sich ein durchbrochen gearbeiteter Rocailledekor mit C-Bögen, Blumen und Blüten, die mit roten Steinen besetzt sind. An Vorder- und Rückseite nicht wiederholt, sondern spiegelbildlich gearbeitet. Die große Schließe entsprechend gestaltet, seitlich geschweift, die durchbrochene Arbeit mit goldener Platte unterlegt. Partiell vergoldet.
Das darin gebundene Andachtsbuch, erschienen 1774 im „hochfürstlichen Gotteshauß St. Gallen“, mit grünem geprägtem Vorsatzpapier, Frontispiz-Kupfer, betitelt: „Geistliche Sonnen-Blum, Das ist Kurze tägliche Besuchungen Zu dem Allerheiligsten.“ Bereits aus dem Vortext des Andachtsbuches geht hervor, dass es für „geistlich, als weltliche Stands-Rersonen zu gebrauchen eingerichtet“ war, was auch den höfischen Charakter des Einbandes erklärt.
