Über quadratischem Stand der gefußte kraterförmige Korpus mit bewegten Bandhenkeln. Flacher à jour gearbeiteter Steckdeckel mit Zapfenknauf. Polychromer dem Geschmack des Louis XVI entsprechender Dekor mit Blüten und Goldfestons. Wandung beidseitig mit chinoisen Szenen. Montierung etwas locker.
Anmerkung:
Jakob Dortu, der etwas von Porzellan verstand, und sein Schwiegervater Ferdinand Müller gründeten am Genfersee eine Manufaktur, die in der Hauptsache Geschirr produzierte. Dortu, einer französischen Emigrantenfamilie abstammend, war in Berlin Blau- und Buntmalerlehrling, später muss er sich die Kentnisse der Porzellanherstellung angeeignet haben. Er war daraufhin Leiter der Manufaktur in Nyon und legte großen Wert auf Blumenmalerei. 1809 wurde aus der Manufaktur eine Aktiengesellschaft, 1813 stellte man auf andere Erzeugnisse um.
