Auf Eichenkorpus Marketerie in Ebenholz, Amaranth und Buchsbaum sowie Schildpatt mit Messingschnitt in der Art von André-Charles Boulle (1642-1732) première partie.
Hochrechteckiger Korpus mit im Unterbau befindlicher, nach rechts zu öffnender Tür. Diese schauseitig mit dichtem, großflächig eingelegtem vegetabilem Boulle-Dekor und zentraler Darstellung des Merkur, welcher von Zeus soeben seine Sandalen und den geflügelten Helm erhält. Der Aufbau zweitürig, ohne Glasscheiben, mit zentralem, den Zwickel der Türen ausfüllendem Bronzemedaillon mit Feinziselierungen. Kein Schlüssel vorhanden.

Anmerkung:
Eine in Aufbau und Dekoration sehr ähnliche Bibliothek mit Boulle-Dekor second partie ehemals in der Sammlung Lord Hastings Seaton Delaval Hall in Northumberland.
