In bergiger Landschaft, unter blauem Himmel mit weißen Wolkenformationen, hat ein großer Löwe auf einer Anhöhe einen weiß-schwarzen Hund angegriffen und mit seinem Maul gerade einen Hund gebissen, aus dessen Wunde Blut läuft. Malerei in zurückhaltender Farbgebung, die auf Vorbilder des 17. Jahrhunderts zurückgeht, zu denen Frans Snyders (1579-1657) und auch Jan Fyt (1611-1661), aber auch Johann Ridinger gehören.
