Seidenholz auf Eichenkorpus. In Blattwerkbronzesabots stehende gekantete und geschweifte Beine mit Messingprofilen die Umrisse des Möbels umrahmend. Rocailleverzierte Zarge mit dem unteren Schub verbunden. Zweischübiger Korpus sans traverse. Übergreifender Frontdekor um ein mittleres Zierstück angeordnete Rocaillen und figürliche Chinoiserien. Die fein ziselierten und vergoldeten Bronzen sind hervorragend passende Arbeiten des 19. Jahrhunderts. Brèche Janue de Benou Marmorplatte den Zügen des Möbels folgend.

Im Inventarbuch von Jean-Mathieu Chevalier registriert nach dessen Tod.

Anmerkung:
Eine von Jean-Mathieu Chevalier gestempelte Kommode ähnlicher Art, ebenfalls mit chinoisen Reliefs, wird in der Widener Collection in der National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C. verwahrt.
