Bronze, gegossen und patiniert. Quadratische Basis mit apsidialem Vorsprung. Darauf die sitzende Gestalt einer Mutter, ihre Kinder auf ihrem Schoß werden teilweise gesäugt. (†)
Anmerkung:
Dubois studierte zunächst Jura, um den Wünschen seines Vaters (ein Notar) nachzukommen. Daraufhin erlernte er die Bildhauerei vornehmlich unter dem bewundernden Einfluss seines Großonkels Jean-Baptiste Pigalle (1714-1785), dessen Namen er auch während seiner ersten Ausstellung im Pariser Salon 1857 nutzte, indem er unter dem Namen Dubois-Pigalle auftrat.
