Bronze, gegossen, braun patiniert. Auf Rundsockel montierte, doppelfigurige Bronze, einen geflügelten Genius zeigend, welcher einen leblosen Körper hinfortträgt, welcher einen Soldaten darstellt mit gebrochenem Schwert, als Hinweis auf die Niederlage. Erstmals wurde die Figurengruppe 1874 ausgeführt, als Erinnerung an die gefallenen Franzosen im Deutsch-Französischen Krieg. (†)

Bronze casting with brown patina. This figural group was first created in 1874 in commemoration of the fallen French troops during the Franco-German war. (†)
