Beide Bilder sind motivisch mit zahlreichen Werken des Pieter van Bredael vergleichbar. Einzelne Bildelemente, wie Ruinendetails finden sich sehr ähnlich auch in seinem Werk, wie auch manche Figurentypen wie etwa die beiden Männer mit Turban.
