Bronze, gegossen, mit einer braunen Patina versehen. Der Hirsch gefertigt von Christian Maas (*1951) als Hommage an François Pompon (1855-1933), welcher einen solchen großen Hirschen bei der Pariser Weltausstellung zeigte. Maas konzentrierte sich seit dem Ende der 1980er Jahr auf die Bildhauerei und stellte im Jahre 2010 im François Pompon Museum, Saulieu aus.

Bronze; cast with brown patina. The stag is created by Christian Maas (*1951) as a homage to François Pompon (1855-1933), who showed such a large stag at the Paris world exhibition. Since the late 1980s Maas concentrated on sculpture and exhibited at the François Pompon Museum, Saulieu in 2010.
