Gold glänzender Bronzeguss, der Kopf leicht nach links geneigt mit Büstenansatz und verträumtem Antlitz. Mit poliertem Marmorsockel.

Der Künstler studierte an der Accademia di Brera in Mailand, siedelte 1889 nach Paris um und unterhielt dort eine eigene Gießerei. Vor allem in seinen Kopfbildnissen beweist der Künstler eine ungewöhnliche Ausdruckskraft, in der er erfolgreich über Rodin (1840-1917) hinauszugehen suchte. Werke seiner Hand unter anderem im Städel Museum Frankfurt.
