Meist sind die überlieferten Gemälde des in Antwerpen geborenen Künstlers stark breitformatig angelegt. Hier jedoch sehen wir eine hochrechteckige Komposition, welche das Geschehen wiedergibt. Dies könnte dadurch zu erklären sein, dass das Gemälde möglicherweise eine Auftragsarbeit war, die eine bestimmte Wand zieren sollte. Sowohl die Villa, welche am Horizont gut zu erkennen ist, als auch die gesamte Gartenanlage inklusive des Brunnens und der Orangerie scheinen einen konkreten Ort in der Umgebung von Padua oder Treviso wiederzugeben.
