Auf einer leichten Anhöhe, auf einer Wiese sitzend, umgeben von vielen Kindern, eine Gouvernante in schwarzem Kleid mit weißem Kragen und weißer Haube auf dem Kopf. Die fröhliche Kinderschar ist dabei auf der blühenden Wiese Blumen zu pflücken, während ein kleiner Junge sich im Gras zum Schlafen hingelegt hat. Im Hintergrund eine kleine Gruppe weiterer Figuren und die weite Landschaft, aus der eine kleine Kirchturmspitze hervorragt. Stimmungsvolle heitere Malerei, in frischer Farbgebung unter hohem hellblauen Horizont, mit vielen kleinen Details. (12003112) (18)
