Über rundem, einschwingendem Fuß ein kleiner Wulstring, darüber ovaloider Körper mit schmalem, langem Hals und verkragender Lippe. Die beiden breiten, seitlichen Henkel aus gebündelten C-Schwüngen und Volute gebildet, darunter Löwenmaske. Die Front ziert eine gemalte Bogenöffnung, die den Blick auf einen Heiligen freigibt. Dieser steht in vollem Kardianalsornat vor einem Tisch mit Schreibgerät rechts und präsentiert ein aufgeschlagenes Buch, das er geschrieben hat. Von oben rechts fallen göttliche Strahlen zu ihm herab. Zu Füßen des Heiligen liegen verstreute Bücher. Die Figur des Heiligen wird flankiert durch das Monogramm "S" links und "B. D" rechts, was ihn als den Heiligen Barnabas ausweist, der das Matthäusevangelium in Händen hält. Unter dem Bildfeld verläuft ein Band mit der Aufschrift "AQ CONNE". Am Fuß und um den Rahmen Bemalung "alla porcellana". Bemalung in Blau, Gelb, Mangan und Ocker auf weißem Fond. Schöner Zustand, leichte Glasurabplatzungen an den Henkeln, Löwenmasken und Lippe. Oviform body with narrow, long neck and flared lip over round, coiled, slightly curved base. Two broad C-shaped handles with volutes and lion masks underneath. The front decorated with a painted archway and a Saint. The Saint is clothed in full cardinal regalia standing in front of a table with writing utensils to the right, displaying a book which he has written. Divine light beams shine on him from the top right. Books are scattered at his feet. The figure of the Saint is framed by the monogramme "S" to the left and "B.D" to the right, identifying him as Saint Barnabas holding the Gospel of Matthew in his hands. Underneath the plate, a ribbon inscribed with "AQ CONNE". The base and body are painted alla porcellana. Painted in blue, yellow, manganese and ochre on a white ground. Beautiful condition, minor glaze chips on the handles, lion masks and on the rim. Min. restored.
