Depart de Mercure Bronzefigur des sich zur Abreise die Sandalen bindenden Gottes Merkur. Der griechische Gott als nackter, mit einem Lendenschurz bekleideter Jüngling dargestellt, der sein linkes Bein auf einen Baumstumpf gestellt hat, zu dem er seine Hand herabneigt, um sich die Flügel an die Sandalen zu binden. In der rechten erhobenen Hand hält er den Caduceus. Am Boden Panflöte, Dolch und Scheibe, an der Vorderseite der Plinthe Kartusche mit Bildtitel sowie Hinweis, daß die Figur in der Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris ausgezeichnet wurde. Schöner, polierter Guß, am Baumstumpf signiert: Sudre-Paris. Braune, glänzende Patina. H.: 96,5 cm. (362784)
