(1290277) (18)
Jacob van Loo,
1614 Sluis – 1670 Paris, attributed
PORTRAIT OF A BOY Oil on panel.
46 x 38.8 cm. Parquetted.
Lower left, slightly illegible, monogrammed and dated “1646”.
Notes:
With regards to colour and brushwork, as well as clothing and figurative expression, the painting largely corresponds with the boys in the large portrait of the Meebeeck Cruywagen family, ca. 1642, held at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
