Bronze, gegossen, ziseliert, patiniert und vergoldet. Die außergewöhnlich schönen Empire-Kandelaber von Pierre-Philippe Thomire (1751-1843) gestaltet oder eng an dessen Werk angelehnt. Über dreieckigem Grund mit geebneten Spitzen liegende, im griechischen Stil gearbeitete und auseinanderstrebende Helme, mit über ihnen liegendem Lorbeerkranz. Schlanke dorische Säule mit Profilkapitell und kanelliertem Aufsatz. Aus Blattwerk gebildete Arme in brünierter Bronze mit eingsetzten Flammentüllen (eine fehlend). Zentrale Vasentülle mit zusätzlicher Brennstelle.

Anmerkung:
Ein Paar schöner Kandelaber mit gleichem Helmdekor wurde 1808 von Thomire-Duterme & Cie geliefert für den Thronsaal des Palais de Fontainebleau und befindet sich heute mit der Inventarnummer F602C im Musée national du château in Fontainebleau.

Notes:
A pair of beautiful candelabra with the same helmet décor was delivered in 1808 for the throne room of the Palace of Fontainebleau by Thomire-Duterme & Cie and is today held with inv. no. F602C at the Musée national du château de Fontainebleau.
