Bronze, gegossen, hellbraun patiniert. Über gestuftem Marmorrundsockel die auf naturalistischer Plinthe sitzende junge Frau mit einem Korb Muscheln, welche sie soeben gesammelt haben mag, ihre Linke zum Schutz gegen die Sonne erhoben. (†)
Anmerkung:
Mathurin Moreau war Sohn des Bildhauers Jean-Baptiste Moreau und auch seine Brüder Hippolyte Moreau (1832-1927) und Auguste Moreau (1834-1917) waren Bildhauer. 1841 wurde er Mitglied der École des Beaux-Arts in Paris und wurde 1865 Ritter der Ehrenlegion und 1885 dort Offizier. (1220036) (13)
