Venus nach rechts auf einem weißen Laken in Landschaft unter einem Baum liegend, auf ihrem Schoß der geflügelte Amorknabe, der sie an den Haaren zieht, um sie an ihren Liebesauftrag zu erinnern. Im Hintergrund rotes Velum mit Goldbordüre am dahinter stehenden Baum drappiert. Links Ausblick in weite Abendlandschaft. Das Original von Varotari, das sich in Privatbesitz befindet, wurde mehrfach wiederholt und von späteren Malern in Abwandlungen kopiert.
