Großformatige Darstellung des griechisch-mythologischen Themas, wonach Paris einer der drei Göttinnen den goldenen Apfel überreicht. Er entscheidet sich für Venus als die Schönste der drei, die in ihrer Hand symbolisch ein entflammtes Herz hält und ihm somit ihre Liebe anbietet. Daneben sitzt in leichter Rückenansicht Hera, mit ihrem Attribut, einem Pfau, sowie Minerva in Rüstung mit Lanze und ihrem Attribut, der Eule. Paris als Schäfer dargestellt mit Schäferstab, neben ihm der Amorknabe, der ihn eindringlich anblickt um seine Verliebtheit Venus gegenüber zu bestärken. Die Figurengruppe in einer fantasievollen Landschaft mit Ausblick in ein Tal rechts hinten mit auffliegenden Schwänen über einer Burgruine. Die Malerei in starker manieristischer Stilistik.
