Im Sonnenlicht erhellte Flusslandschaft mit den Wasserlauf querender Brücke und dahinter gelagertem Städtchen. Links im Vordergrund ein Gasthaus mit Ausleger, hoher Eingangspforte mit daraus schreitender Wirtin und Gästen im Begriff zur Musik zu tanzen, zu speisen und die Waren eines fliegenden Händlers vorn links zu begutachten. Zahlreiche ländliche Szenen seiner Hand mit Figurenstaffage im fröhlichen Beisammensein sind bei der Fondazione Zeri verzeichnet.
Der Maler wirkte zunächst in der Werkstatt des Städtemalers Paolo Anesi (1697-1773) und arbeitete mit ihm zusammen an den Dekormalereien der Villa Chigi. Sein Werk ist insgesamt den Bamboccianti zuzurechnen, in der Nähe des Andrea Locatelli (1695-1741). Werke seiner Hand im Palazzo Braschi sowie in der Galleria dell‘Accademia di San Luca in Rom.
