In den 1890er-Jahren erfand der Rotterdamer Fleischermeister Wilhelmus Adrianus van Berkel eine Maschine mit Handautomatik; das Berkel-Patent bestand darin, dass ein Handrad einen beweglichen Tischschlitten in Bewegung setzte, der einer gewölbten, sich drehenden Klinge entgegenglitt. Das Modell 8 wurde von 1928 bis 1948 hergestellt und sowohl mit Motor als auch manuell wie bei diesem Objekt der Fall angeboten. In perfekt restauriertem Zustand. (1391042) (10)
