Linde, geschnitzt, mit Resten alter Fassung. Auf gekantetem Sockel, dessen Zentrum von einem nach oben sehenden Mondgesicht gebildet wird, steht die Heilige Muttergottes mit weit aufgeblähtem Gewand mit Schüssel- und Knitterfalten auf ihrer linken Hand das sitzende Christuskind tragend, welches genau wie seine Mutter den Betrachter anblickt; in seiner Hand ein Goldapfel. Die Haare der Madonna in symmetrische Strähnen gelegt und von einer Zackenkrone überfangen. Größtenteils vermutlich mit der leicht verlustigen original Fassung.
Provenienz:
Wohl zwischen 1870 und 1912 von der 1868 gegründeten Naturalienhandlung Fa. J. F. G. Umlauff, Hamburg angekauft und im März 1964 ausgestellt in der Kunsthalle Hamburg durch James Graham & Son, New York.

Probably acquired between 1870 and 1912 by the natural goods dealer Fa. J. F. G. Umlauff, Hamburg, founded in 1868, and exhibited in March 1964 at the Kunsthalle Hamburg by James Graham & Son, New York. From the estate of a Munich collector couple.
