Florian Pucher studierte in Wien bei Zaha Hadid Architektur, anschließend Innenarchitektur an der Universität Esag Penninghen in Paris. Nach seiner Übersiedlung nach Peking arbeitete er zunächst als Architekt, dann als freischaffender Designer zusammen mit Sophia Liu Bo. 2009 wurde ihm der "Elle Decoration International Design Award" für seine "Landcarpet"-Serie verliehen. Florian Puchers von der Natur inspirierte „Landcarpets“ basieren auf Luft- und Satellitenbildern, meist werden Agrarflächen verschiedener Kontinente und Länder dargestellt, die wie miniaturisierte und - durch die unterschiedlichen Florhöhen - dreidimensionale Landschaften wirken. Das vorliegende Beispiel zeigt die typische, streng gegliederte nordamerikanische Landschaft aus der Vogelperspektive in Pastell- und Erdtönen, ergänzt durch ein kräftiges Grün. (980711) (18)

Florian Pucher studied architecture in Vienna under Zaha Hadid and continued with his study of interior design at the University Esag Penninghen in Paris. After having settled down in Beijing he first worked as architect and then as free interior designer together with Sophia Liu Bo. In 2009 he won the “Elle Decoration International Design Award” for his “Landcarpet”-series.
Florian Puchers “Landcarpets” are inspired by nature and are based on aerial and satellite images, which depict moreoften farmed landscapes of various continents and countries. Through their differing carpet pile they appear like three-dimensional miniatures. “Arizona” shows the characteristic North-American landscape in aerial perspective in pastel and earthy tones supplemented by a rich green.
