Majolika-Krug mit spätgotischem Dekor

Kleiner, bauchiger Henkelkrug mit weich geformtem Ausguss. Das Dekor im spätgotischen Stil vereint figurative mit abstrakt-geometrischen Elementen. Es zeigt vorne das stilisierte Bildnis einer Frau im Profil nach links. Ihr Haar ist unter einer Haube hochgesteckt, bekleidet ist sie mit einem gestreiften Obergewand. Die Kontur des Bildnisses wird mit einem Abstand nachgezogen, wodurch ein Rahmen um die Person gebildet wird. Dieser leitet zu den abstrakt-geometrischen Pflanzenornamenten über, die sich zu Rosetten und Arabesken formen, die durch eingestreute Pünktchen umspielt werden. Am Henkelansatz ist ein Monogramm "LD" (?) zu sehen. Bemalung in Kobaltblau auf weißem Fond. Sehr schöner Zustand, leichte Glasurabplatzungen. Bruchrest., Chips und Glasurabplatzungen.

Late Gothic Mailoica jug

Small, globular jug with handle and smooth spout. The late Gothic style of decoration combines figurative and abstract-geometrical elements. At the front, there is a stylised portrait of a woman in left-facing profile. Her hair is pinned-up under a bonnet and she wears a striped outer garment. The portrait is framed by a line tracing the outline of the face to form a frame against the abstract-geometrical phyto-ornaments, which take the form of rosettes and arabesques interspersed with dots. The initials 'LD' (?) inscribed where the handle is attached. Painted in cobalt blue on a white ground. Very good condition, minor glazing chips. Restored crack, chips and glazing chips.
