Paar Kristallglasflaschen mit Dogenwappen

Paar tropfenförmige Flaschen mit vertikalem Schliff und beidseitigem Schnitt. Schauseitige Darstellung eines Dogenwappen, wohl historisierend Francesco Foscari zuzuordnen, welcher 1423-1457 Doge von Venedig war und somit die längste Amtszeit eines Dogen innehielt und als bedeutendster Vertreter des Geschlechts der Foscari gilt. Gefasst in Ormolu- oder Vermeilmontierung mit Scharnierdeckel in Adlerkopfform. Seitlich geschnittene Maskarons und manieristische Festons, rückseitige Darstellung einer Blüte, umgeben von Palmblättern und überfangen von Textilfestons an Maskarondekor. Ein Deckel lose. Das Glas eventuell aus dem böhmischen Raum. (1281004) (13)

A pair of both-sided and vertical cut drop-shaped bottles. Depiction of the Doge's coat of arms on the front, attribution probably to Francesco Foscari, Doge of Venice 1423-1457, holding office for the longest period and an important member of the Foscari Family. With ormolu and vermeil mountings and hinged lid in the shape of an eagle's head. Cut mascarons on either side with Mannerist frescoes, depiction of flowers on the reverse surrounded by palm leaves and surmounted by textile festoons on mascaron ornament. One lid loose. The glass possibly Bohemian.
