13,2 x 19,5 cm.
In einheitlichen Goldrahmen mit gravierten Künstlernamensschildern.
Beide Gemälde zeigen die Figuren in Nahansicht in Waldlandschaft bzw. am Waldrand mit Ausblick in fernere Landschaft rechts bzw. links hinten. Der langbärtige Prophet Elias an einem Stein am Boden kauernd, den Kopf in die Hand gestützt. Der Engel mit großen Schwingen hat sanft seine Hand auf das Haupt des Propheten gelegt. Das hell aufgelichtete Inkarnat des nackten Oberkörpers des Engels wird noch betont durch das rote Velum.
Im Gegenstück ziehen die beiden Figuren nach links, Tobias hält der Legende entsprechend einen Fisch, der Engel führt mit einem Stab voran in Begleitung eines Hündchens.
Beide Gemälde in der für den Maler typischen Feinpinseltechnik, die Komposition der beiden Bilder verweist auf die Zusammengehörigkeit, indem Landschaft und Figurenrhythmus aufeinander bezogen sind.

13.2 x 19.5 cm.
In matching gilded frame with engraved plates with artist’s name.
Both paintings show figures in close-up view, one in a forest landscape, the other on the edge of a forest, each with a panoramic landscape in the far background on the right and left respectively. Both paintings are executed with fine brush stroke technique, typical for the artist. The composition of both paintings shows that they form a pair, as the landscapes and rhythmic arrangement of the figures correlate.
