In einem grauen Innenraum, der in einem wertvollen, mit rotem Samt bezogenen Sessel an einem Tisch sitzende Charles Lord Whitworth mit grauer Allongeperücke, mit seiner rechten Hand auf eine Schriftrolle hinweisend, auf der zu lesen steht „To our Right Trusty and well beloved. Charles Lord Whitworth our embassador and plenipotent at the Congress at Cambray“. Neben ihm stehend sein junger Neffe, dessen Hand er hält. Linksseitig auf der roten Tischdecke beschriftetes Wappen mit Krone und zwei Adlern.
