An einer von Bäumen umstandenen architektonisch ausgebildeten Wasserstelle laben sich Pferd und Mensch aus einer Gruppe Reisender mit orientalischer Gewandung. Das Gemälde wird in der Einlieferertradition Eugène Fromentin zugeordnet. Werke seiner Hand sind unter anderem im Musée d‘Orsay in Paris vertreten.
