Louis XV-Konsoluhr

Gehäuse:
Dreiteilig, jeweils mit blau gefärbtem Schildpatt und ziselierten sowie vergoldeten Bronzen. Die Konsole entspringt aus à jour gearbeiteten Rocaillen mit Blattwerkzier. Werkskorpus verglast, balustriert und mit reicher vergoldeter Bronzezier. Aufsatz mit stark plastischer Rocaille und Blütendekor.

Zifferblatt:
Weiß emaillierte passige Kartuschen für schwarze römische Stunden und arabische Minuten. Umlaufender vergoldeter Relieffond. Aufzugslöchlein über der V und der VII.

Funktion:
Gehwerk für Stunden und Minuten mit Schlag auf Glocke; vegetabil ausgeformte Zeiger für Stunden und Minuten. Ein Pendel und ein Schlüssel vorhanden, nicht auf Funktionsfähigkeit geprüft.

Louis XV console clock

Height of console and top part: 125 cm.
Dial signed “J Baptiste Dutertre A Paris” (the Younger, 1715 – before 1772).
Paris, second quarter of the 18th century.

Case:
three-part case, each section with blue-dyed mother-of-pearl and chased and gilt bronze decoration.

Dial:
White enamel dial with cartouches with black Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes. Surrounded by gilt relief background. Winding holes above V and VII.

Functions:
Movement for hours and minutes with striking mechanism on a bell; organically shaped hands for hours and minutes. Pendulum and key enclosed. Working order untested.
