Der Blick ist auf den Canal Grande beim Campo di Santa Maria della Carità gerichtet, mit der Kirche und dem im Vordergrund stehenden Gebäude der Bruderschaft, dem heutigen Sitz der Galeria Accademia. Der belebte Kanal führt bis zur Punta della Dogana, rechts ist die Kuppel der Basilika Santa Maria della Salute. Der hier gezeigte, bereits 1744 eingestürzte Campanile beweist, dass der Maler unseres Gemäldes sich an eine grafische Vorlage gehalten hat. (1471194) (13)
