Metallkorpus mit darunterliegendem Rundfuß. Der Korpus selbst leicht gekantet, an der Schulter eingezogen und die Mündung ausgestellt. Reicher ornamentaler Dekor, partiell auf mauvefarbenem oder schwarzem Grund. Der untere Teil des Korpus mit Lanzettblattkartuschen, Phönixe und Drachen zeigend, während der obere Teil des Korpus mit ornamental gestalteten Ranken und dazwischenliegenden Kartuschen mit Drachen gestaltet ist. An der Schulter mit Kartuschen von Schmetterlingen und Hähnen, der Hals jedoch mit ornamentalem Cloisonné-Dekor. Min. besch. (12100417) (2) (13)


A pair of large cloisonné vases

Japan, Meiji period, 1868 – 1912.

Round foot with metal vase on top. The body is slightly edged and pulled in at the shoulder and with flared mouth. Rich ornamental décor, partially on mauve and black background. The lower part of the body is decorated with lancet-shaped cartouches showing phoenixes and dragons, while the upper part of the body is decorated with ornamental vines and interspersed with cartouches depicting dragons. There are cartouches with butterflies and cockerels on the shoulder, while the neck of the vase is decorated with ornamental cloisonné décor. With minimal damage.
