Eine der Figuren zeigt einen liegenden Mann mit aufgestütztem Bein – hier die Allegorie des Tages –, die andere Figur eine liegende Frau, bei der im Sockelbereich eine Eule zu sehen ist: die Allegorie der Nacht. Die beiden Skulpturen nach dem berühmten Vorbild von Michelangelo (1475–1564) am Grabmal der Medici in der Kirche San Lorenzo in Florenz. (14502520) (18)
