Auf einem gestuften, schwarz-weiß geäderten Marmorsockel die in Bronze gegossene und dunkel patinierte Figur einer jungen barbusigen Frau, welche auf einem klassizistischen Thron mit Löwentatzenfüßen sitzt. Sie stützt ihren Kopf auf eine Hand, während die andere locker über die Armlehne des Throns herabsinkt.

Der Maler und Bildhauer Marcel Début war Schüler seines Vaters Jean Didier Début (1824 – 1893) und stellte erstmals 1883 im Pariser Salon aus. (1462062) (13)
