Blick auf einen der vier Grands Boulevards im nördlich der Seine gelegenen Rive Droit von Paris bei abendlich gelb schimmernden Himmel. Vor den beleuchteten Auslagen hinter den hohen Schaufenstern zahlreiche Passanten auf der breiten, wohl nassen Promenade, in der sich teils die Beleuchtung widerspiegelt und die nach rechts von einer Baumallee vor der nachfolgenden Straße flankiert wird. Darstellung einer alltäglichen Szene des Pariser Lebens aus dem späten 19. und frühen 20. Jahrhundert, für die der Maler berühmt wurde.
