US-amerikanischer Künstler, der sich stark an der Kunst des Graffiti orientierte. Er studierte an der School of Visual Arts, später beteiligte er sich an der New Yorker New Wave-Ausstellung und 1980 an der Times Square Show. Es folgte 1982 die erste Einzelausstellung in der Tony Shafrazi Gallery und im selben Jahr noch die Teilnahme an der documenta 7 in Kassel. Im Laufe seiner weiteren Laufbahn waren seine Werke in zahlreichen erfolgreichen Ausstellungen weltweit zu sehen. Der Kulturjournalist und Biograf John Gruen würdigte den Künstler 1991 durch die Veröffentlichung von dessen Lebensgeschichte.
