Darstellung des Tibers, der auf den im Bildzentrum liegenden Petersdom zuläuft. Rechts ist die Engelsburg zu sehen, mit davor auf dem Tiber liegenden Schiffen, mit teilweise noch zu löschender Ladung.
Der Maler war Schüler der Wiener Akademie. Er bereiste sowohl den Norden Europas als auch Italien, wo zahlreiche seiner Werke entstanden. (14711316) (3) (13)
