Blick von erhöhtem Standpunkt auf eine weite Seenlandschaft und ein hoch aufragendes, teils mit Schneeresten bedecktes Gebirge im leicht dunstigen Licht der untergehenden Sonne.

Der Künstler war ein Landschaftsmaler der Romantik, der ab 1822 an der Kunstakademie in Dresden studierte. Seine Motive fand er meist aus den Schweizer und Tiroler Alpen. (1440031) (18)
