Nahe der Küste, auf der ein rurales Gebäude steht, ein dem Sturm und den Wellen trotzendes Segelboot.
Der Künstler war der dritte Sohn des Marinemalers Hermanus Koekkoek d. Ä. (1815–1882) und bekam Unterricht von seinem Vater. In seinen späteren Jahren malte er Strand- und Seeansichten sowie Szenen aus dem Fischerleben in lockerem Stil. (1471575) (13)
