Unterhalb einer steinernen Ruine befinden sich im flachen Wasser eines Flusses zwei Hirten und eine auf einem Muli reitende Frau, mit ihrer Ziegenherde im flachen Wasser. Nach links führt der Fluss durch eine schmale steinerne Brücke hindurch, unter der sich ein weiterer Hirte mit zwei Rindern befindet. Im Hintergrund links, unter hohem blauen Himmel, ein hohes Gebirgsmassiv. Malerei in der typischen Manier des bekannten Künstlers, in reduzierter Farbigkeit, die Stimmung eines Tages bei nahendem Sonnenuntergang verkündend. Kleine Retuschen. (1230644) (18)
