Gust Romijn gehörte zu den Künstlern, die nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg durch Abstraktion und Experimente radikal mit der traditionellen Kunst brachen. Er war Mitglied der Liga Nieuw Beelden, die aus der berühmten Künstlergruppe Vrij Beelden (1947-1953) hervorging, der auch die COBRA-Maler angehörten. Seine abstrakten expressionistischen Werke zeichnen sich durch reiche Farbigkeit aus. (1261761) (18)
