Große Pariser Pendule

Gehäuse:
Dreiteilig, jeweils in Boulletechnik gestaltet mit reich vergoldeten und ziselierten Bronzen. Bestehend aus einer konisch auslaufenden Konsole, dem Uhrenkasten und einer Bekrönung. Der Uhrenkasten verglast und balusterförmig gestaltet mit reicher à jour gestalteter Rocaillenrahmung.

Zifferblatt:
Weiß emaillierte Segmentfelder mit schwarzen römischen Stunden, arabischen Minuten und Stabindizes. Aufzugslöchlein über der IIII und der VIII.

Funktion:
Gehwerk mit Schlag auf Glocke, à jour gearbeitete, vergoldete Zeiger für Stunden und Minuten, geschwärzter Zeiger für springende Sekunde, ein Pendel und ein Schlüssel vorhanden. Nicht auf Funktionsfähigkeit geprüft.

Large Paris pendulum clock

Height: 140 cm.
Dial and backplate signed “Belin a Paris” (Julien Blin, master since 1755 / 1757).
Paris, 18th century.

Case: Three-part, each piece designed in the Boulle technique with richly gilt and chased bronze mounts.

Dial: White enamel segment fields with black Roman numerals for the hours, Arabic numerals for the minutes, and baton indices. Winding holes above the IIII and the VIII.

Functions: Movement with striking mechanism on a bell, openwork gilt hands for hours and minutes, blackened hand for the jumping second, a pendulum and a key are included. Working order not tested.
