Height: 55 cm.
Width: 33.5 cm.
Depth: 18 cm.
Berlin, 1910.

This work is an exceptionally rare historical document of German-French history. Designed as an opulent desk ornament, it features a large, gold-framed bronze relief portrait of the Emperor, inscribed “WILHELM II IMPR REX”, supported by the wings of a bronze eagle on a gilt base. Further inscribed “L’EMPEREUR À L’AMBASSADEUR DE FRANCE / MR JULES CAMBON 25 JANR 1910”. The base has semicircular projections with profiles and engravings in the shape of columns and the piece is freestanding. On the reverse, engraved and surmounted by a crown, appears “W II”. The frame is decorated with a bead-and-reel border and surmounted by the German imperial crown.
