Vor dunklem Hintergrund auf einer grauen Steinplatte stehend, in einem flachen geflochtenen Henkelkorb, ein farbenfrohes Arrangement unter anderem aus Rosen, Tulpen, Primeln, Enzian und Kleinblütlern in überwiegend weißen, rötlichen und blauen Farbtönen. Das Stillleben wird zudem belebt von einem kleinen roten Insekt und einem Schmetterling. Feine, qualitätsvolle Darstellung.
Der Portraitmaler Constantyn Netscher war der Lehrer des Künstlers. Roepel malte bevorzugt Stillleben mit Blumen und Früchten und arbeitete auch zusammen mit Matthias Terwesten
