In Carraramarmor gestalteter Portraitkopf der Kaiserin, Ehefrau des Kaisers Hadrian mit dem Betrachter zugewandtem Blick. Die Frisur in feiner Auffassung und auf symmetrischer Anordnung bedacht über einem Haarband emporgesteckt. Die feine Oberflächenbehandlung der Haut kontrastiert mit den offenen Strähnen und mit den alten Bruchstellen, die auf eine frühe Entstehungszeit zu Renaissancezeiten der Büste hindeuten. Carrara marble portrait head of Empress Vibia Sabina, Wife of the Emperor Hadrian, looking at the viewer. Her hairstyle is delicately designed and carefully pinned up over a hairband in a symmet-rical fashion. The surface is finely carved, the skin contrasting with the loose hair strands. Some old fractures indicate that the bust was created during renaissance times. Mounted on a marble presentation base.
