Im Vordergrund anlandendes Fischerboot und Männer beim Kauf der gelöschten Ware. Dahinter Handels- und Prunkschiffe sowie mehrere Fischerboote, wie wir sie häufig im Werk Willaerts finden, wenngleich hier bei besonders feiner Ausführung. Der Horizont am rechten Hintergrund durch schroffen Fels mit Wassersturz abgeschlossen, darauf eine festungsgleiche Bebauung, die vielleicht in ihren Einzelelementen einen realen Bezug haben könnte.
